The Pasture

The first two Baltimore Sonic Research Institute pedals were fuzzes that wrapped a bunch of extra stuff around simple circuit blocks to try and make the core fuzz sounds more versatile. I've never been much for simplicity and my products retain a more-is-more ethos to this day. The schematics for FZZ and GFZ seen below contain a handful of useful hacks that turn a super fuzz and a CMOS square wave fuzz into better mousetraps. They represent the early stages of stumbling through designing something without really knowing what you're doing. Build them if you like and see what works for you. Please don't copy these schematics and build them for sale. Make something new and make it your own. If you learn something from these I'd love to hear about it so send me an email!
